Fergus Cardiff, MIAPR, is a graduate of the Irish Academy of Public Relations. He is a Senior Corporate Consultant, Corporate Business Development, with Eagle Star.
He joined Eagle Star in 1992 from FBD Life and Pensions. He is a Fellow of the Life Insurance Association (LIA) and a Member of the Irish Academy of Public Relations (MIAPR). He has lectured in Pensions for Fellowship students of the LIA and for the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. Fergus is a member of Delgany Golf Club and Plays football (still!!) in the Leinster Junior League. |

Angela Carty McCormack: Diploma in Public Relations |

Angela Carty McCormack, MIAPR, is a Diploma Graduate of the Irish Academy of Public Relations. She currently teaches at Moate Community College School and has just launched her public relations and event management consultants company, AR Public Relations, based in Athlone County Westmeath.
AR Public Relations has been involved in organising many high profile events in the Midlands in the recent past and currently works for two major International Companies. Angela is the first woman ever to win the hugely coveted TAP (Theory & Practise) Award sponsored by Pfizer Healthcare Ireland under the auspices of the Irish Academy of Public Relations.
Angela’s idea - Hero Day - won her the award and more importantly has given her the opportunity to work as a consultant with the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland to implement this PR Campaign. The first nationwide "Hero Day" took place on Friday 15th October 2004. The charity hope to raise in excess of €250,000. |

Katie Condon, BA, MIAPR, MMII, is a graduate of UCD, the Irish Academy of Public Relations and the Marketing Institute. Previous marketing and PR roles include work with Bill O’Herlihy Communications, Panorama Holiday Group, and KBS Solutions.
In 2003, Katie moved from Dublin to Cork and worked as the marketing manager for The Blarney Group. In 2004, she moved back into software sales and marketing and became head of the marketing department in Bluemetrix. She is also a part-time lecturer for the Irish Academy of Public Relations in Cork. |

Carmel Dooley: Diploma in Public Relations |

Carmel Dooley is an honours graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the Irish Academy of Public Relations.
An experienced public relations consultant, Carmel set up PRWORKS in January 2008 to provide public relations services to companies and organisations looking to stand apart from the crowd.
Since launching, PRWORKS has successfully created and implemented a number of high profile media campaigns including the 29th Celtic Media Festival, Aoife Mulholland, Esquires Coffee Houses and the Marketing Institute of Ireland (West Region)
Carmel Dooley is a council member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland (West Region) and is currently chairperson of the western branch of the Academy Network.
She also lectures on the Higher Diploma in Arts (Public Relations) and Diploma in Event Management programmes run by the Irish Academy of Public Relations in GMIT, Galway.

Eoin English, MIAPR, 29, is the Irish Examiner's Cork news reporter. He graduated from UCC in 1996 with a BA in Geography and Archaeology, has a Diploma in Journalism from the renowned Editorial Centre in Hastings, England, and a Diploma in Public Relations from the Irish Academy of Public Relations. He became Ireland's youngest newspaper editor when he was appointed editor, at the age of 23, of The Muskerry Leader, a regional newspaper in Ballincollig, Cork. Two years later, he was appointed senior sub editor with the Irish Examiner's Special Publications department where he was part of a team responsible for the production, design and content of the newspaper's various supplements. In January 2004, he was appointed the Examiner's Cork news reporter. |

Marie Ennis-O’Connor BA, MIAPR, holds an Honours degree in History from University College Dublin. She is a graduate of the Irish Academy of Public Relations, with an Honours Diploma in Public Relations. Marie works as a distance learning tutor for the Academy and also lectures on the H.Dip PR course, and her experience includes all aspects of event management and extensive experience of writing and designing publicity materials (print and web based) for a variety of organisations in the IT and Life Science industries. Marie also volunteers her time and PR experience for Europa Donna Ireland, the Irish Breast Cancer Campaign and has recently published an information booklet for younger women facing a diagnosis of cancer. She has given many presentations in the course of her work. |

Jonathan
Fallon: Diploma in Public Relations |

Jonathan Fallon MIAPR MPRII is
an honours graduate of the Diploma in PR with the Irish Academy
of Public Relations. Having studied Business Management at
Dundalk IT, Jonathan went on to work in the Financial,
Accounting and Banking Sectors. However his first love was
always politics and he has been involved in the organisation and
management of several political campaigns over the years. He
currently works as the Government Affairs Analyst for A&L
Goodbody Consulting. He provides policy and strategic advice to
a variety of clients on public affairs issues, and is
responsible for relationships with government departments, the
Oireachtas and the Public Sector generally. Jonathan has been
involved in a number of
projects with A&L Goodbody Consulting including the preparation
of strategy documents and research reports.
He is also the Author of a book due to be published by Mercier
Press in September 2006 entitled "Growing up with the party"
which has been described as a hilarious and sharp account of
what it is like to grow up in a family
obsessed with Irish politics. |

D'Arcey Jackson: Diploma in Public Relations |

D’Arcey Jackson, MIAPR, set up Dolphin Communications in 1999 to provide training and public relations services to companies, semi-state bodies and academic institutions. She is a lecturer in public relations with Griffith College Dublin and in event management and presentation skills with the Fitzwilliam Institute. D’Arcey is also a member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. |

Alan Kelly – Diploma in Public Relations |

Ardee’s Alan Kelly, who now resides in Maynooth, is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and holds an Honours Degree in Music Education, a Diploma in Music Education and the H.Dip teaching qualification. In 2001 he joined the staff of the Golfing Union of Ireland where he remains today following his appointment as Manager of the GUI National Academy at Carton House.
Having completed the PRII Diploma with the Irish Academy of Public Relations in 2005, Alan is now a full member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
His work with the GUI has led him down many roads including event management, publications, website development and customer care. His new role as Manager of the National Academy includes the development of all PR and Marketing strategies.

honours B.Comm, from the Institute of Fundraising, London

in Public Relations
Áine has honed both her PR and fundraising talents,
having worked for over seven years as a fundraiser with both

Galway Simon Community and set up Kilgallon PR in January 2010.She
has been heavily involved with Network Galway for a number
of years and was elected President of Network Galway in 2009

Lizzie Lumsden - Diploma in Public Relations |

Account Manager with O’Brien PR, Lizzie Lumsden is a first class honours graduate of Northumbria University Business School, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in England, where she studied International Business Studies with German. Following her graduation, Lizzie went on to study the two-year Diploma course in Public Relations with the Irish Academy of Public Relations. Lizzie guest lectures with the Irish Academy of Public Relations and is a feature writer and contributor to several national newspapers. Lizzie has written articles for the Irish Independent, Sunday Independent and the Evening Herald.
At O’Brien PR, she looks after numerous consumer and lifestyle accounts including the Beaumark account. With Beaumark, Lizzie is responsible for some of Ireland’s largest consumer brands such as George Foreman, Revlon, BaByliss, Russell Hobbs and Hoover. Lizzie has also been involved with the public relations activity for the Budweiser Irish Derby Festival 2007 at the Curragh Racecourse among many others large scale campaigns.

A former graphic designer, Frances graduated from the Irish Academy of Public Relations in 1996 and subsequently worked with tourism interests in Cork, planning and implementing numerous overseas media visits to the region. During this time she also lectured in Design & Print and Print Production with the Irish Academy. Since 2003 she has worked on a number of projects within the craft sector. She was the project manager for Create 2003 - Ireland's first exhibition of contemporary fine Irish furniture at Fota House Cork and is currently working on Create 2005. |

Romy Meade-Moloney's most recent undertaking was working as Public Relations Officer for the 10th European Heart and Lung Transplant Games which took place in Dublin in June of this year. With 500 participants from all over Europe the plans for the Games began almost three years ago when she joined the Games Organising Committee. Romy also has a keen interest in Training and Communications and facilitates courses aimed at administrative staff working in the Healthcare area. With a little more time on her hands since the Games have ended, she has plans to develop this area of her work even more. |

Ros Murphy, BA, MIAPR, holds an honours degree from UCD in Economics and French. She also holds an honours diploma in PR having graduated in 1999. She has been employed in Fiat Auto Ireland since 1998, during which time she has been involved in their sponsorship of the Tour de France, launches of new products and exhibitions such as Cuore Sportivo. She originally became involved in PR for Motorsport but now handles PR on a much wider scale. O'Brien PR was founded by Aileen O'Brien, MPRII, MIAPR, in May 2003. Aileen, from Newbridge, Co. Kildare studied European Studies (European law, politics, German and Spanish) at the University of Limerick. She is an honours graduate of The Irish Academy of Public Relations and a full member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. Aileen also studied public speaking and presentation skills through The Leinster School of Communications and the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Mary Seery, BA, MIAPR, MPRII, is a graduate of the Irish Academy of Public Relations with a Diploma in Public Relations and also holds a B.A. Degree in< Philosophy and Sociology from UCD. Mary worked in the Press and Communications office in Forfas (a national agency) for six years. She currently works with the Mentor Programme in Enterprise Ireland where her PR experience contributes to promoting the programme. Maria Valentine, BA, MIAPR, completed an honours degree in Business Studies, Marketing and Languages (HETAC) in IT Tallaght in 2004. She has just recently received a Higher Diploma (HETAC) in Public Relations from the Irish Academy of Public Relations.
She began her career in the banking sector for one year. She then moved to the Sales and Marketing department in FBD Insurance where she has held a varied role which included both event management and PR.

Anne Wallace graduated from the Irish Academy of Public Relations in 1996. Anne went on to organise three very successful fora on behalf of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. In 1997 Anne began teaching the Public Affairs module of the PR Diploma and a similar module on the Diploma in Journalism which began in 2000. Anne has since graduated with a BSc Honours Degree in Government and Public Policy from UCC. Stacey Williams MIAPR, MPRII graduated with honours from Irish Academy of Public Relations in 2003. She is a full time Public Relations and Marketing Consultant based in Killarney, Co. Kerry. Prior to her career as a PR Consultant, Stacey commenced a BA in Design at the Limerick College of Art & Design and went on to win a scholarship to University of Exeter, UK to complete her studies. Stacey was a professional designer for 10 years before embarking on a career as a PR Consultant.
After graduating, Stacey spent the following four years working as PR and Marketing Manager for Bill Cullen, Chief Executive of Renault Ireland and Jackie Lavin, Director of the Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney. Her experience in this position entailed extensive PR and marketing in Ireland, UK, Europe and the United States.
Stacey has vast experience in Public Relations, Event Management, Media Relations and Marketing in the Tourism, Corporate and Entertainment industries. She also has a background in PR for Sponsorship and Fundraising for charities.
Stacey is currently running a Public Relations practice in Kerry and represents a wide range of clients from within diverse areas of the corporate sector. She hopes to return to third level in the future to complete an MA in Communications |
