The Advanced Certificate in Public Relations and PR Writing Skills builds on the knowledge acquired at Certificate level. The Advanced Certificate focuses on the management and specialist areas of public relations, and advanced PR writing skills. Certification is awarded on successful submission of a project and three written assignments.Topics studied include:

PR for Charities and Voluntary Organisations

Press release writing
Writing statements and speeches
Giving media interviews
Writing proposals and business plans
Preparing presentations and reports.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should be advised that the Advanced Certificate in Public Relations and PR Writing is a third level course for which the following entry requirements are necessary:

Candidates must hold a Certificate in Public Relations and PR Writing from the Irish Academy of Public Relations (IAPR) or equivalent.

Selection will be by written application only. Places are limited and will, therefore, be offered subject to availability.

FEES

The fee for the Advanced Certificate in Public Relations & PR Writing is €730. Application forms should be accompanied by a deposit of €75. The deposit will be refunded if the application is unsuccessful.

The balance of the fee will be invoiced to students who have been accepted onto the course, and should be paid in full before the course begins.

Students are liable to pay examination fees, currently €250 per student.
