SYLLABUS OUTLINE
The Certificate in Television and Video Skills focuses on interview techniques for TV
research, questions, responses, presentation, body language, etc.
The video/DVD module looks at selecting a production company, script, location, voice-overs, backing tracks, costs, distribution and shelf-life.
Topics studied include:
Television, Radio and Video Production
Mastering TV and Radio News
Media
Corporate Productions
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should be advised that the Certificate in Television and Video Skills is a third
level professional development course.
- Candidates should be communications or PR practitioners.
Mature applicants who fail to meet the above requirements should contact the Academy regarding application procedures.
Selection will be by written application only. Places are limited and will, therefore, be offered subject to availability.
FEES
The fee for the Certificate in Television and Video Skills is €730. Application forms should be accompanied by a deposit of €75. The deposit will be refunded if the application is unsuccessful.
The balance of the fee will be invoiced to students who have been accepted onto the course, and should be paid in full before the course begins.
Students are liable to pay examination fees, currently €250 per student.
